Reproductive specialist in Kyiv.
When to visit a fertility specialist?
At the IVMED Reproductive Medicine Clinic, we do not consider the health of a man or a woman separately. After all, conception, gestation and birth of a healthy child depends on the fertile health of the couple. That is, men’s and women’s health.
A reproductive specialist should be consulted if a couple fails to conceive a child during a year of regular sexual intercourse without the use of contraceptives. As well as in the presence of pelvic inflammation, STDs, genetic abnormalities, and for couples over 35 years of age, if one or both partners are diagnosed with infertility.
A timely consultation with a reproductive specialist will allow you to overcome infertility with minimal consequences and is absolutely affordable for most couples.

How does this happen?
During our first meeting, the fertility specialist will collect as much information as possible about his or her patients: conduct a thorough physical examination, assess thyroid function, learn about the patient’s medical history, menstrual cycle, previous pregnancies, etc.
The reproductive specialist will not only examine the medical history, but also ask the couple about various aspects of their lives:
- bad habits;
- housing conditions;
- allergic reactions;
- professional activities;
- regularity of sexual relations;
- past surgeries;
- hereditary predispositions;
- complaints about health.
What's next?
Next, the specialist will prescribe tests for both partners to determine the cause of infertility and draw up a treatment plan. We believe that every couple is special and has their own unique set of circumstances. Therefore, you will have exactly your medical solution to achieve pregnancy.
At the IVMED Fertility Center, we have all the modern ART technologies that exist in the world. You will have access to embryoscopy, IMSI, PICSI, preimplantation genetic diagnostics using FISH, comparative genomic hybridization, and next-generation sequencing.
What other doctors should I see?
After the consultation, the reproductive specialist may refer the couple to other doctors for diagnostics. For men – to a urologist or andrologist. The urologist will prescribe a semen analysis and check for pathologies of the reproductive system. An andrologist specializes in the physiological and hormonal characteristics that cause male infertility.
In addition to treatment by a reproductive specialist, women may need to consult an endocrinologist and a gynecologist.
