Research of ethnic origin (genealogical analysis)

Ethnicity tests - are methods of establishing ethnicity through DNA testing.

We have three types of such studies for you:

1. Analysis of ancestry on the male (paternal) line - Test "Ethnic origin" on the male line Y chromosome.
2. Analysis of ancestry on the female (maternal) line - Test "Ethnic origin" on the maternal mtDNA line.
3. Analysis of ancestry on the male (paternal) line and analysis of ancestry on the female (maternal) line - Test "Ethnic origin" on the male line Y-chromosome and on the maternal line mtDNA.

Two types of DNA are particularly important for genealogical research:

1. Y chromosome: Transmitted only through the male line (from father to son).
2. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA).: Transmitted through the maternal line (from the mother to all children).

Such markers allow you to trace your ancestry through paternal and maternal lines.

Haplogroups

Haplogroups are a group of similar haplotypes that share a common relative who had a mutation that was passed on to all descendants.

Distinguish:

• Haplogroups of the Y chromosome: Represent the paternal line.
• Mitogroups of mtDNA: Represent the maternal lineage.

Haplogroup determination allows you to identify the ethnic origin and geographic regions where your relatives came from thousands of years ago.

Results of the study

After studying the data, the specialists compile a detailed report that includes:

• Definition of a haplogroup;
• Ethnicity;
• Geographical regions of origin of relatives;
• Possible migration routes;
• Time of origin of the haplogroup;
• Geographical region of distribution of haplogroup carriers at the present time.
