Pregnancy planning
Pregnancy planning at the IVMED clinic
Child planning is a responsible and conscious approach of a couple to successful conception, easy pregnancy and trouble-free childbirth. For the birth and good health of a child, it is necessary that parents take care of checking their own health in advance and exclude the influence of all negative factors on this process.
At the IVMED Medical Center, doctors of various specialties, laboratory staff, psychologists, and many others work in close cooperation with future parents to help them plan their upcoming pregnancy.
Extensive experience and mastery of innovative techniques used in the reproductive medical field have allowed IVMED specialists to create effective pregnancy preparation schemes.
Pregnancy involves a high load on the woman’s body, so to give birth to a healthy child, preparation should be carried out in advance – at least 2-3 weeks before ovulation.
Research is needed:
At the IVMED clinic, pregnancy planning involves a comprehensive examination with the involvement of doctors – gynecologist, urologist, dentist, ENT, ophthalmologist, and, if necessary, specialists of a narrower profile in order to identify and treat somatic pathologies.
To plan a child, both partners must undergo a laboratory test, including an analysis for:
- hormonal status;
- hidden infections:
- TORCH infections (toxoplasmosis, cytomegalovirus, rubella, herpes);
- sexually transmitted diseases (STDs);
- Hepatitis (B, C), HIV, RW;
- determination of the Rh factor and blood group.
In women, vaginal swabs are subject to bacterial cultures and cytological examination to detect malignant pathologies. For men, a spermogram.
In addition to in-depth examination, clinical blood and urine tests, biochemical blood tests, coagulogram, and hemostasiogram are required.
The complex includes hardware research:
- Pelvic ultrasound;
- mammography;
- X-ray of the lungs;
- colposcopy.
