On 03.03.2025, he started the thematic cycle of improvement “Fundamentals of Reproductive Medicine” on the basis of the IVMED clinic.
The IVMED Reproductive Medicine Clinic, which is the clinical base of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Fetal Medicine at the NMAPE named after O.O. Shcherbakov, is a part of the National Medical Academy of Ukraine. П. Л. Shupyk Medical School, conducts a spring cycle of thematic advanced training (TA) “Fundamentals of Reproductive Medicine” for obstetricians and gynecologists.
This training course is aimed at deepening knowledge in the field of reproductive medicine and improving practical skills in the field of ART (assisted reproductive technologies) infertility treatment in modern reproductive medicine.

- Relevance of the topic
Given the growing number of patients with fertility problems, there is a demand for in-depth knowledge of gynecologists on modern methods of diagnosing and treating infertility. - Expert level of teaching. The course is conducted under the supervision of Professor of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Fetal Medicine of the Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, specialist in reproductive medicine, chief physician of the Rodynne Dzherelo – IVMED clinic (the department’s base) Strelko G.V.
- Combining theory and practice. The training includes lectures, clinical case studies, as well as familiarization with advanced reproductive technologies used at IVMED.
- Modern facilities for training. IVMED is not only a leading reproductive medicine clinic, but also an educational and research center equipped with the latest equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.
- Expanding professional opportunities. Upon completion of the course, students receive a certificate of the NMAPE named after A.A. Kulikov. П. Л. Shupyk’s certificate confirming the advanced training.
The Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Genetic Initiative Reproduction."
During the conference session, experienced experts in reproductive genetics highlighted the problems of diagnosing genetic abnormalities in patients diagnosed with infertility, including infertility of unclear genesis, as well as the latest approaches to identifying the causes that may be the main factors in the inability to obtain healthy embryos or their successful implantation, as well as to successfully carry a child.
Oleksandra Kashevarova, Head of the Cytogenetic Laboratory, presented a report on “Genetic Problems of Male Infertility“, which focused on the correlation between the problem of infertility in men and the presence of chromosomal aberrations, deletions of the Y chromosome, and mutations of cystic fibrosis genes in 15-20% of cases. These chromosomal abnormalities cause obstructive azoospermia, which manifests itself in impaired or blocked spermatogenesis.
The correct diagnostic strategy and timely identification of these causes are crucial for the management of patients by a fertility specialist. Oleksandra’s research on the use of testicular biopsy material using the TEZE/PEZE methods in patients with obstructive azoospermia has shown high efficiency in IVF cycles, while the use of biopsy material in patients with non-obstructive azoospermia in IVF cycles is almost ineffective.
