The main stages of the procedure

Let’s take a look at how IVF works. In order for IVF pregnancy to go without abnormalities, you need to undergo a preliminary examination. It usually takes no more than a month. At this stage, the doctor explains to the couple the essence of further treatment, provides information about the possible risks that may arise at various stages of IVF. Before the procedure, the spouses must undergo appropriate tests and receive consultations from various specialists.

At the second stage of IVF in Kyiv, egg collection takes place. Usually, the eggs are retrieved from the ovaries thirty-six hours after the administration of the relevant medications. These include:

• “Ovitrel;
• “Dipherelin;
• “Pregnil.

IVF clinic “IVMED” provides a woman with comfortable conditions. The procedure is performed under intravenous anesthesia. After egg collection, a woman needs to stay in the clinic for two hours.

After that, the sperm and eggs are placed in an incubator. This device creates the optimal conditions necessary for the full development of embryos. The duration of the cell culture period is from 2 to 6 days. The duration of the cultivation time is determined by the reproductive specialist. It depends on a number of clinical indications.

The following stages of IVF include:

• Transfer of embryos into the uterine cavity;
• Prescribing medications to support the luteal phase;
• Diagnosis of pregnancy;
