According to the results of the first stage of the program, the reproductive specialist chooses an individual protocol for stimulating superovulation and determines the list of appropriate medications. On average, the stimulation process takes 10-12 days and requires about 5-6 visits to the doctor.

Usually, only one egg ripens in a natural cycle, and in some cases, two eggs. Instead, after ovarian stimulation, it is possible for more eggs to mature at the same time, depending on the characteristics of your body.

The process of egg retrieval and cryopreservation
The process of egg retrieval is performed with the use of general anesthesia. The cost of general anesthesia is included in the myOVA egg preservation program.
The method of obtaining eggs is called ovarian puncture. It is a standardized and strictly controlled procedure performed under ultrasound guidance. The procedure takes approximately 15-25 minutes, and then the embryology laboratory specialists prepare the eggs for cryopreservation.
Cryopreservation by vitrification
After receiving the eggs, the specialists of the embryological laboratory assess the quality of the eggs and further cryopreservation by vitrification.
Special devices – cryocarriers– are used to place eggs . Each cryocarrier can hold about 2 eggs. The cost of cryocarriers is already included in the price of the myOVA program
The eggs are stored in specially designed containers – Dewar vessels with ultra-low temperatures in the IVMED cryostorage.
