Stages of the procedure
The process of egg cryopreservation consists of several key stages
The goal is a detailed health assessment and a personalized approach to stimulation.
A set of diagnostic and preparatory measures includes:
- Consultation with a therapist and ECG
- Ultrasound of the mammary glands
- Tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C
- Testing for sexually transmitted infections
- Antimullerian hormone (AMH)
- Determination of blood type and Rh factor
- Complete blood count (hemoglobin, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, etc.)
- General urine analysis
- Coagulogram
- Blood glucose level in the blood
- Microscopy of the urogenital smear
- Epithelial cytomorphology for atypical cells
How it works:
A reproductive specialist chooses an individual protocol based on the results of examinations.
Medications are already included in the program price.
Stimulation lasts 10-12 days and involves 5-6 visits to the doctor.
Why do you need stimulation:
Usually, only one egg ripens in a natural cycle, and in some cases, two eggs. However, after ovarian stimulation, it is possible for more eggs to mature at the same time, depending on the characteristics of your body.
Monitoring:
At each visit, an ultrasound of the ovaries is performed to monitor the growth of follicles and determine the optimal day for egg retrieval.
Egg retrieval procedure:
It is performed under general anesthesia (included in the price).
Method: ovarian puncture under ultrasound control.
Duration: 15-25 minutes.
Preparation and freezing:
Embryologists evaluate the quality of eggs.
The vitrification method is used.
Cryocarriers (up to 2 eggs per egg) are included in the price.
Storage:
Eggs are stored in dewars at ultra-low temperatures.
1 year of storage in IVMED cryo storage is included in the program.
